This classic dish is perfect for Thanksgiving, but also easy to make any night. It goes well with pork chops, meatloaf, and lamb. Recipe source: Everyday Food, November 2010. Ingredients: 1 head cauliflower, cut into small pieces and florets, 1 cup heavy cream, 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, coarse salt and pepper, 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs, 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, cut into small pieces. Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, combine cauliflower, heavy cream, flour, and 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper, then mix together. Transfer mixture to a 2-quart baking dish, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 30 minutes. In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle over cauliflower. Dot with butter and bake, uncovered, until top is golden brown and cauliflower is tender when pierced with a knife, 10 to 15 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
