“Hot dogs and cheese are served with biscuits, mashed mustard, cornichons, apricot jam, and olives. Source: Martha Stewart Living, January 2010. Ingredients include various sausages, such as chorizo, Lebanese-style, and Moroccan-style, and various types of cheese, such as aged cheddar and “juda” cheese. Directions: 1. Pierce the sausages all over with a fork and transfer to a skillet (preferably cast iron) over medium heat. Fill the skillet with enough water to reach a quarter of the way up the sausages. Cook over low heat and covered until the sausages are cooked through and the water has evaporated, about 10 to 15 minutes. (If the sausages are cooked but the water hasnt evaporated, uncover and continue cooking until the water has evaporated.) 2. Continue to cook the sausages, turning, until crispy and golden brown all over, about 3 minutes. Serve with cheese.”
