“Nothing is more rewarding than designing nurseries for expecting families! We love everything about them: the plush textile products, the soft colors, the charming photos of baby animals hanging on the walls. We especially love it when our clients are able to integrate furniture they already own, sentimental pieces, and recent DIY projects into the Laurel & Wolf design. It was so much fun for us to see Magis childrens project, which she designed together with Laurel & Wolf designer Pamela McIntyre. Magis biggest concern was how to use her floor plan most effectively and where to place large items like the cribs, changing table, and sliding chair. Pamela made her beautiful crib and this gorgeous Moroccan rug at the base of the childrens room and used the wall space for accessories and art. Plus, Magi made the incredible lamp herself!

Baby clothes are adorable, but they also take up a lot of space! Pamela and Magi skillfully hung a luggage rack to display their super cute clothes and make a little more space in the closet. When it comes to spending quality time with your baby, Magi wanted to designate a place for storytelling. And for that, a sweet and comfortable glider is a must in every childrens room. This reading area serves as the perfect place for the best bonding time for mom and baby.

Due to the beautiful architectural detail of the space, the height of this ordinary art library placed just above it makes the space feel fuller and fuller. Instead of using the fireplace for warmth, toys and greenery keep it sweet and light. The car toy adds a vintage look to the room and gives it serious style.

Keep the items you need to use daily close by and easily accessible. An easy and pleasant storage solution? Natural wooden bowl. Keep large bowls filled with the most important things on the changing station for added convenience. Why bother with drawers and doors when it comes to things you need all the time?

Instead of going with an obvious “blue for boy” theme, Magi and Pamela choose a super cute zoo theme for the room. We love the giraffe vignette on the sheets and the blanket. A neutral animal theme is also a great way to go if you still dont know the babys gender.

The plush “taxidermy” elephant, combined with sweet succulents, and a gorgeous garland, combine adult sensuality with soft and childlike decor. This
