This French-inspired sauce adds depth of garlic flavor to the main chef of the Todd English bottle. Source: Martha Stewart Show, September 2010. 6 Doses Ingredients 3 red peppers 1 cup white wine 1 teaspoon saffron 2 cloves garlic 1 cup olive oil 1 cup grape seed oil 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper Instructions 1. Place the bells directly on the burner of a hot water or grill stove. Bake peppers, turning with tongs, until charred. (Another option is to bake peppers on a baking sheet, turning until the skin is charred.) Move the pepper to a large bowl and immediately cover with plastic wrap. Set aside for steam, about 15 minutes. Peppers; Discard the skins. Remove the stems, seeds, and ribs and cut each pepper into lengthwise strips. 2. Place peppers in a small saucepan with wine, saffron, and garlic; cook over medium-low heat until garlic is softened, about 10 minutes. Transfer to the bowl of a food processor; process until smooth. Slowly add olive and grape seed oils; process until well combined. Add lemon juice and season with salt and black pepper; pulse to combine.
