Swedish meatballs are a delicious addition to any traditional smorgasbord. Serve them alongside our egg noodles in caraway butter. This recipe from Martha Stewart Living takes about 55 minutes to make and yields about 2 dozen meatballs. The ingredients include beef, pork, onion, sour cream, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, allspice, nutmeg, vegetable oil, red wine, flour, and beef broth. The meatballs are formed into balls and frozen before being cooked in a nonstick pan and kept warm in the oven. The sauce is made by reducing the pan drippings with wine, adding flour and beef broth, and simmering until thickened. Top the meatballs with the sauce and parsley for a delicious meal.
