This cake is best served warm, but it is also tasty later in the same day. The recipe includes butter, flour, oats, water, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, mixed berries, and coarse sanding sugar. The instructions are to preheat the oven, combine the oats and water, mix the dry ingredients, beat the sugars and eggs, add the flour and oat mixture, fold in the berries, spread the batter in a pan, sprinkle with oats and sugar, and bake until a toothpick comes out clean.
