This filling and glaze are perfect with our chocolate and apple tree. Source: Daily Food, December 2007. Ingredients 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin (from a 1/4-ounce envelope) 1/4 cup chocolate hazelnut 2 1/4 cups heavy cream 1/4 cup sugar instructions 1. Place 2 tablespoons cold water in a small saucepan; sprinkle with gelatin and let stand until softened, about 5 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, whisk together the chocolate hazelnut with 1/4 cup cream; set aside. 3. Heat the gelatin mixture very gently over low heat, stirring until dissolved; set aside. 4. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the remaining 2 cups cream with the sugar until soft peaks form. While still beating, pour the dissolved gelatin mixture over the cream all at once (slightly warm the gelatin mixture if it has set). 5. Fold half of the whipped cream into the chocolate hazelnut mixture to complete the chocolate hazelnut filling; the remaining whipped cream is the cream topping.
