This recipe serves four, and there are enough leftovers for chicken salad the following day. The recipe calls for a whole roaster chicken, rubbed with a mixture of butter, paprika, salt, thyme, and cayenne pepper, and baked in the oven until the coating is black and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
