This lovely dessert recipe is thanks to Chika Tillman of ChikaLicious Dessert Bar in New Yorks East Village. Source: Martha Stewart Show, January 2009. The recipe calls for half a peeled, cored, and sliced Bosc pear, unsalted butter, vanilla bean, sugar, port wine, and ice cream for serving. The pear slices are placed on a parchment paper heart-shaped package with the other ingredients, folded, and baked until the parchment paper puffs up. Serve immediately with ice cream.
