These simple but fun sugar buns taste best when they are still warm from the oven. The recipe calls for 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, room temperature, 1 cup of sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, all-purpose flour for rolling, and 1 3/4 pounds of room temperature yeast dough. The directions are to generously butter a 12-cup muffin tin, mix the sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl, roll out the dough into an 18 x 10 inch rectangle, brush with butter and sprinkle with the sugar mixture, roll up tightly and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces, place in muffin cups and let rise until doubled in size, bake at 350 degrees for 22-24 minutes, brush with melted butter and roll in remaining sugar mixture. Serve warm.
