These whimsical treats are delicious on their own or on top of holiday desserts like our Chocolate and Nut Yule Log. The recipe calls for a 7-ounce log of marzipan, which is shaped into small caps and stems. The caps are formed by flattening the marzipan balls and creating a hollow in the center with a paring knife. The stems are made by rolling an equal number of small portions of marzipan into cylinders. To assemble, simply insert the stem into the hollow of each cap and dust lightly with unsweetened cocoa powder before serving. This recipe is from Everyday Food, December 2007.
