This sounds like a delicious Moroccan cake! Its interesting to see how the traditional recipe calls for chicken or pigeon, but turkey was used instead. The combination of ginger, saffron, and turmeric with almonds and eggs sounds like a flavorful and aromatic filling. The use of phyllo dough to wrap the filling is a nice touch, and I can imagine the crispy layers contrasting with the soft filling. Overall, this recipe seems like a labor of love, with a long cooking time and many steps, but the end result is surely worth it.
